About the competition

GiftedBrain Academy runs the Interschool Debate Competition every year to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and civic confidence in Ogun State's Junior Secondary School students.

The 3.0 edition (2026) opens to every public, private, and faith-based JSS school in the state. Two students per school compete across two stages — a written essay and a recorded video debate — with finalists travelling to Abeokuta for the Grand Finale.
